It’s almost Christmas and here at Tree House Towers we are hoping the festivities can be as close to normal as possible. If we focus on seeing family and friends, eating turkey or an alternative, and unwrapping presents rather than face masks, then I am sure Christmas 2021 can be a wonderful time.
It’s the month for hats, gloves and festive treats
It’s a fact, one of the best bits about this time of year is the presents. Receiving a gift from a loved one is always special. Especially if its chocolate and even more so if it’s a chocolate brownie.
Hearing a knock at the door and being presented with a box of luxurious brownies is one of the nicest things that we can think of. I do accept that we may be a tad biased. However, with this kind of gift there is no, ‘Oh how lovely, but the size is wrong,’ or ‘nice, but you gave me socks last year,’ or even, ‘really, you’ve actually bought me an iron!’
With the gift of brownies, you can be fairly sure of an outstanding reception. There is no dilemma regarding finding them a space in the house – no wandering from room to room deliberating where on earth to put ‘that’ ornament, no subsequent hiding them in the wardrobe before the next ‘get together’ when they are quickly retrieved and popped out on display…
When you are sending gifts to friends that you are not going to see over the festive period, brownies are a great way to say ‘Hi, I am thinking of you and here is a present that I know you will love.’ For chocolate lovers there is little to compare to the perfection of a rich decadent brownie.
Brownies are, sadly not for ever, but they do pack a punch as an outstanding gift that provides instant pleasure, a delicious taste and the knowledge that the recipient is loved.
A simply brilliant option for gifting has got to be one of our Brownie Subscriptions. This is the true essence of a ‘Gift that just keeps giving. ‘A box of brownies once a month is most definitely a great way to indulge and treat a friend or family member. You can choose to do this for 3, 6 or 12 months. Alternatively, or as well as, why not add yourself to the subscription list. Brownies are superb puddings and if you chop them into bite-sized pieces and then freeze them they are available to be added to ice-cream and or custard.
Shelve the mince pies
The festive period is always the perfect time to eat. We have family and friends to visit and there is more often than not a tray of mince pies or a piece of Christmas cake to enjoy along with a hot cuppa or glass of mulled wine. For a change, and if for some bizarre reason you don’t like mince pies or cake, then maybe brownies could be the answer. Take a box with you or pop them out for your own guests. They will be sure to comment – just be warned that if they tell the rest of the family or your other friends then you may well be inundated with visitors.
Wedding Fayre Dates
Just for those of you recently engaged, or those that are ‘about’ to get engaged – here are some future dates for wedding fayres in the Midlands area. As you know, I love making Wedding cakes and am taking orders for next year and 2022. So, if you or someone you know is looking to make their dream wedding cake a reality then please give me a call.

You are all awesome
Finally, we would all like to take this opportunity to say a huge thank you to all of our customers who have stood by us this year. Tree House Cakes has evolved over the past two years from a cake design business into a thriving brownies business as well. This is due to you fabulous people who have supported us, told their friends and come back for more. So much has changed for us all this last two years and we are very grateful for your trust and loyalty. Making Wedding and occasion cakes brings me so much pride and pleasure – I love the reactions I get when I present their dream cake to couples. It really does make this job an utter pleasure.
Eating a brownie is so very like wrapping a soft, cashmere blanket around your shoulders. Now, eat a brownie while you are cocooned in cashmere - I just don’t know how you could feel happier or more content.
Wishing you all, your families and friends a wonderful Christmas and a very Happy New Year!
